Trent Alexander-Arnold, John, I don't think he's ever going to be picked.

I think we knew that from Christmas that Tuchel wasn't going to pick him.

And however we view that, to me, it's a surprise, of course, playing for Real Madrid and the quality that Trent Alexander-Arnold has.

I think it was always going to be a surprise when you don't pick him.

But Rhys James is not a huge drop-off if it is going to be Rhys James that's going to play the games.

I think even Phil Foden, maybe the other one, that is an exceptional player that wasn't picked.

Off the back of his year, John, I don't think he had a great year overall.

There's an argument that I've read that he could be a lot more fresh, that he's not had a lot of game time this season.

In my mind, I don't think he had a great Euro two years ago and I don't necessarily think that he's going to be the game changer that many expected.

But Palmer is, John, and I think Palmer is the big one that I looked at overall with an England squad that I think he's going to be a big miss for them.

But it's all I hear about Harry Kane and Harry Kane's influence over this side.

And it might be, John, it probably will be.

Let's be honest, I think they're going to have a really successful tournament.

And if they were to go on and win it, then it would be largely down to how Harry Kane's performing.

I think this issue, John, around the big knockout games, I think Harry Kane has only scored one knockout goal from open play.

That could be an issue.

England do freeze when they've been getting to knockout stages of games in recent times.
