So I think that is going to be really interesting to watch how that plays out this year.
In a year where everybody's talking about could be another blue wave, there's obviously a lot of momentum on the Democratic side.
But Maine is also a state that turns out
Voters in high numbers usually has among the highest voter participation rates in the country.
We also have a governor's race this year.
We have one of the most closely watched House races in Maine's second congressional district.
So I think there might be a lot of Republicans who are going to turn out for this election, as well as Democrats.
Yeah, it does.
And there is a huge, I think that's one of the biggest challenges that Troy Jackson faces.
You know, he's getting into this race 100 days before the election.
He even admits, he's like, just a month ago, he was fishing, you know, out in the woods near his home after having lost the Democratic primary for governor.
running for Senate wasn't on his radar.
And then everything happened with Plattner.
He got into the race.
So he's coming in with a huge financial disadvantage.
The Susan Collins campaign said last week they had, I think, more than $11 million in their war chest.
And we all know that the Republican national groups are kind of flush with money right now, and they're pledging to spend hundreds of millions of dollars in this race.
So the challenge for Troy Jackson will be
How quickly can he ramp up that financial, that fundraising side?
We heard from them today that he raised $2 million just since Saturday.
