And what he's been able to do in Atlanta, and I sat in that clubhouse,
he just brings in good people.
You got to have the right people, everyone pulling on the same rope, you know, and it doesn't have to be just Americans or just lines.
Like they have a blend of players, but they have the right guys, the right personalities.
And if they do feel like they have a stray, you know, they have their handler.
That's not too far away.
And like everything just works there.

I was a little bit surprised, but then when you heard the reason they came out and said it, you know, obviously familiarity.
Walt was a tremendous bench coach.
He was one of the best bench coaches I had.
He was very intelligent when it came to โ
you know thinking ahead and as a bench guy that's all you really wanted a bench coach that is like okay i'm thinking two three four innings down the road these are your potential windows where you hit so you don't get caught off guard you know i've played the bench role in a lot of places where that doesn't happen you know it's last minute and you're like man i really wish i would have prepared a little bit different for that bat what was great at doing that um
Yeah, but when you heard Alex come out and talk about, you know, Walt being the guy that they took over, you know, the Braves is a desirable job.
There was probably maybe, quote-unquote, more deserving or managers that maybe had a better resume.
But the fact that Walt was there and there was that level of trust that he's built with the players, the communication, you know, with the front office.
You know, I was watching MLB Network today and they were talking about โ
you know, front offices that have been there a long time with Brian Cashman, obviously lean it, but you know, when you can have stability in your organization, when it comes from, you know, ownership to, you know, president of baseball ops and GMs and stuff when you have, and that also includes managers.
And I know they went from snit to Walt, but a guy who's been in that organization for a long time, he knows the players.
