Just guys aren't playing well.
You know, so you blame the manager for...
And maybe, you know, and just talking about the Blue Jays, right?
If Hoffman would have continued to gone out and not performed, you know, time and time and time again, and the manager doesn't make a decision, you could understand making a managerial decision, a change due to a decision like that, but...
When you have a lineup that's pretty much penciled in every day and they run the same lineup out there because that's who the general manager and the organization wants to be out there and they don't perform, it's hard to blame a manager for that.
Well, I mean, isn't he already hot?
The guy's leading the major leagues in batting average, right?
True.
I think he's about to get hot in terms of getting the ball in the air and driving some pitches out of the ballpark a little bit.
But, I mean, Barker, you know, as a hitter, like,
What really good hitters do and what a guy like Vlade who has this superpower of letting the ball get a little bit deeper leads to him not chasing a ton, right?
And he's going to get beat on some fastballs every once in a while.
Guys like me who are just average hitters get fed up with not driving the ball or slugging and getting beat on fastballs all the time.
So we move our contact point
up a little bit more, and it makes us susceptible to off-speed pitches.
Blatty's just so good at being disciplined and being like, I'm fine being a really good hitter and getting beat on these fastballs inside, shooting them down the right field line.
As he starts to see more pitches and get more comfortable and get 100, 150 at-bats under his belt,
You know, his timing's just going to get only better as he sees more pitches, and he'll start moving that contact point up.
You know, we're talking inches here.
We're not talking feet, right?
