So you get really strong roots here in Miami.

And you know what it looks like.

You know what it feels like.

So we set all those roots.

We started a family.

I volunteered in the community and I learned how to serve others and to approach their hearts first instead of worrying about what's in my heart.

I know the hurts and hangups that I carry.

I don't need to push that on somebody else.

So when we were in Arkansas, before we left, I asked God, God, I want you to use me.

And when we moved to Iowa, one of the things I had to realize was you go through a period of isolation.

When you're asked to be used, you get tested, right?

You experienced a loneliness when you were in Oklahoma, you had to develop new networks.

So my 2AM friends, those guys that I can call and go, hey, man, this is what's going on.

They were gone.

It was just me.

I said, okay, God, I had a chance to get quiet.

So our current home backs up to a state park.

And the beautiful part of that is during COVID, I had a thousand acres of park to wander.

Wow.

And go talk with God and go, okay, here's something you've created.
