Director Bershadsky, it's great to see you.

Great to hear from you as always.

My question really is geared towards back in the day as a recovering council member when I was on the City of Mesa Council.

One of the things that we did

was voluntarily put water, leave water behind Hoover Dam for not only to help Lake Mead, but to also bank for our future.

And that, you know, if the feds don't reverse, if the interior doesn't reverse their stance, what happens with that water that the citizens paid for

And I guess the bigger question then is if that water disappears, now our municipalities are competing with our private utilities for water, for that same aquifers, for that same river water, or what have you.

So what happens?

Because I know Mesa wasn't the only municipality that banked water.

So what happens with that water?

Yeah, it is a hard pill to swallow because,

that's water that citizens have already paid for that came out of their budgets.

And we're not going to see that water.

The cities won't see that water.

And it just leads to greater competition, I think, between the privates and munis.

In retrospect, too, though, it forces all of us to now work together to solve this issue, right?
