Appearances
about how this team had lost the identity of what it meant to be a Canuck.
And that all the things that when Stan Smeal was a GM for two days, he came in and he espoused so passionately, that had disappeared from this organization.
Disappeared, gone.
And so fixing that, getting the right people in place to help get that back,
i believe in the sedins and ryan johnson and their understanding of what that is and i'm willing to be patient and give them time hockey ops and and hockey decisions and what the team looks like are one thing and i think they had to shift their focus towards that as we got the credency in the draft
But that other part, I think, is, I don't want to say more important, but in my mind, it almost is.
And it's going to take time.
And because of the quality of people involved, I'm more than willing to have some patience with that.
And that includes, you know, not needing to say, Ian Clark's the goaltending director moving forward.
We've done this.
We've done that.
We've hired him.
I'm willing to have patience on all those matters.
Yeah.
we lost a lot of that.
We lost a lot of that.
What it meant community wise.
Um, we lost it when Horvat learned it from the twins, but when he was gone, there was just no passing of the baton, you know, like, like the, the, the Pat Quinn to Brian Burke, to Trevor Lennon, to the Seguin twins, to Bo Horvat.
They're just, nobody took that torch.
And it's who you are, it's how you treat the people around you, and it's what you do in the community.
