Beck Malenstein.
Yeah, Beck Malenstein running into โ yeah.
Yeah, that was destruction.
I actually โ
am shocked he didn't come out of that game right courtesy courtesy of the spotter um i'm surprised i haven't heard a little more about it to be honest with you okay maybe the maybe the goalie union everybody's just uh i don't know busy i don't know yeah i haven't heard that much pushback on it um
I was, to be honest with you, I was a little surprised tonight came back on the interference on Dobish cutting through the crease, I guess because he caught a piece of his blocker, even though he still was able to make the save with the glove, but the puck was in the net.
Well, we were wondering about these playoffs that I'm really not so sure about, to be honest with you, from an officiating standpoint.
Okay, so then I missed that part of it because I was on mute and sort of paying attention to a couple different things at the same time.
Yeah, you know what?
I don't love it.
The goalie union probably doesn't love the amount of contact just going to the net as hard as that.
I'm surprised he got up.
I'm surprised he didn't get pulled for a concussion spotter.
I'm happy he did in both regards.
But I would just go back to the comment that I made
made when they started doing video review.
Um, if you would just start calling goalie interference as a penalty in the first place, um, we wouldn't like, we wouldn't get to this.
Maybe in the playoffs guys would be running goalies anyways.
But, um, I just think this is a slippery slope that was started with video review and rather than just calling a bloody penalty when somebody makes contact with the goaltender, um,
giving them a chance to still have the goal count and then for large stretches, seeming to bend over backwards to make sure more goals counted has all led us to this.
