So being a part of this community just...
It feels like such an attack and so personal to have the institutions and places that I've been at become national news in the worst way because they're being attacked by an authoritarian regime that's trying to gut everything that's been beneficial about these schools.
So I'm really mad.
I'm really passionate about fighting against Trump.
And for me, this actually goes back to 2021.
where I penned an op-ed in the Washington Post when the Trump administration first sued Yale for its affirmative action policies.
And with that op-ed, I argued that the Trump administration was wrong about how they perceived universities, and I still feel the same way today.

yeah i saw a poster in the clip that actually made my like history nerd senses tingle and it said that harvard you remember kings we can't go back um and for anyone doesn't know harvard is older than the united states of america when harvard was created um we were still a british colony we were still under a king
And it was largely a lot of these Ivy League leaders, for all their faults, that stewarded America into becoming a place where there was representation, where there was democracy, where it was representative.
So to attack these universities, it makes this a very historic moment because Trump is coming in just like a king, just like an authoritarian figure to try to revert us back to that old ways.
almost the monarchy that we used to live under.
And I find it really, really disgusting, really scary too, especially because Columbia caved in.
So, I mean, for me, I'm really happy to see Harvard stand up.
My own school, Yale, I believe 900 professors sent an email and a letter to our president for her to stand up as well.
And hopefully we see this as the beginning of a movement of universities actually fighting back against Trump and not letting us go back to make America great again, all the way back to the 1600s, where he wants to
