It's hard to translate what that means exactly, but what it is is the idea that
Our minds are interconnected.
I am because we are.
I exist because people around me in my life exist.
And without that connection, I am nothing.
Mental healthcare is not something that is just provided by psychiatrists and psychologists.
It's what primary care doctors do, as I was talking about.
It's what nurses do, but it's also what physical things do.
Therapists do.
It's what teachers do for their students.
It's what mothers do for their children.
It's what babysitters do for their kids they're looking after.
It's what sex workers do for their clients and what bartenders do for the man who's just gotten divorced and is asking for a drink of alcohol.
The motivation for us to do it comes purely from our social interest in each other.
And that social interest.
