Just trying to keep that focus going.

And then sometimes the gigs are so amazing, you're on just such a high.

And I mean, look, particularly when you get a crowd where it's just like you have those –

you really do have those transcendent moments where you're just like, everyone's like the whole crowd is just a unified whole.

You're in tune with them.

Everyone's in tune.

It's like this perfect, beautiful sync, this perfect moment.

And you get such a high off that.

And I think the hard part, particularly back in the day, was coming off that high.

And how do you come off that high?

And you sometimes don't.

And you want to drink and you want to party.

You just want to keep that high going.

But then at the same time,

either the partying or often just the high itself, you know, you sometimes get back to the hotel or the Monday, you get to Monday or Tuesday and you'd be like, God damn, why do I feel so empty?

Why do I feel so shitty?

Like there was such a great weekend, but it's just like, you know, that, that high that you had just, it just goes and you're on the come down from it.

You know what I mean?

But I'll tell you what, the best high, one of the best highs I've ever had in my entire life was

by far my first ever gig, first ever gig, first time I ever played my music that I thought I was the only one in the world who liked.
