Well...

Yeah, it was, it was crazy.

There was actually two, I'm not trying to blow my own trumpet here, but just for context, there was actually two, there was another awards in, I think it was Australia, what I'd call the dance music awards that happened before that.

So I'd won one or two or those before that.

But at that time, it wasn't like I was like, oh yeah.

blase about it but it was just this i was just riding this wave at the time you know and i find it hard to go back in time now i think about what was i actually thinking because i was almost like a different person back then but you know it was just this this wave that i was riding and i was just like yeah okay cool yeah bring that on bring that on let's go let's go and yeah it was really exciting and you know you just constantly feel like you're just stepping up stepping up um but again

I don't know.

I think it was also, again, that living up to the expectations.

It probably increased my anxiety a lot, actually, you know.

And Ajax, who I sort of came up the ranks with, who won it after me, used to talk about it as well, you know.

He used to say he used to put so much pressure on him and he used to sweat so much at his gigs and he used to always have towels because he was sweating from the pressure of being, like, number one.

And that's one of the – well, that's the reason he called his label Sweated Out, you know, because of the pressure of that situation.

So –

Yeah, it's like a double-edged sword, you know, because once you sort of get that exposure, people start paying all this attention to you and critiquing you in ways that they probably wouldn't have before or paying, you know, trying to bring you down in ways they probably wouldn't have bothered if they, if you weren't like the number one DJ or whatever.

So there's like the double-edged sword, you know, it was a love-hate thing, I guess, at the time, really.

Yeah, yeah.

Horrible.

Because, I mean, there were obviously good ones, but I think there was a lot of the time where it was just a lot of people who just wanted to have rants and say negative stuff about people.

And, you know, I think I was a lot more insecure or sensitive to that kind of stuff now.
