You know, it was crazy.

And I was like, I reckon this guy's really talented and he's copying all this hate.

And I'm like, it's almost like, it's like an equal, you know, like the better you do, the more talented you are, the more successful you are, the more the negative shit's going to happen as well.

Like it just, it's like a part and parcel of it, you know?

So I think you're doing something right if you're copying that much shit.

Um, again, because it was such a small pool, like I think it was quite disproportionate, its popularity to its actual, like how big the scene was globally.

Um, and how many people were actually writing it by comparison to other genres.

So I think there was always a little bit fragile and it was always in danger of, you know, having a, you know, not succeeding to a certain extent.

I think, you know, it's also very trend based, you know, like I think there's sort of staples like, um,

house and techno.

And for some reason, I think breaks became more of like a true, well, I guess to a certain extent, like a trend that got replaced, for example, by like electro house, which then got replaced by say dubstep, which then got replaced, you know, like there's these sort of little sort of movements within the graded movements that seem to interchange.

And I think breaks was seen as one of those.

And there was a point at which like, yeah,

You know, Electro was the big thing.

Electro House was coming through and brakes were sort of poo-pooed on and people were like, oh, that's not cool anymore.

Just like skinny jeans are popular now and baggy pants are popular.

My kids are like, oh, Dad, you know, you can't wear skinny jeans anymore.

I'm like, okay, all right, I get it.

And I'm like, you guys know that we were the ones who invented these baggy jeans, right?

Like I was there when baggy jeans weren't cool and skinny jeans are cool.
