I'm into drum and bass.

I'm into house.

And then within that, we had our favorite DJs and favorite artists.

But we often talked about genres and genres is what drove us.

And I know genres are popular now, but I also think that

artists are almost more popular than the genres to a certain extent as well.

So a lot of the time people go out to see artists and the genre is secondary and they could go and see that artist and that artist and that artist and that artist.

They could all be different genres, but they could all be their favorite artists.

Whereas, but I think before we tended to stick to our genre and it all happened within that genre.

Like we're all very into that sort of into the, well,

Not more purist about it, but we were just more driven by the dance music itself.

Yeah.

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Whereas I think these days, I guess, yeah, like you can be into lots of different genres, you know.

Maybe festivals also have something to do with that.

You know, you see all the different sort of genres and acts on the one stage and everyone's cool.

Yeah, it's all different, but it's all fine, you know.

Whereas maybe we come from a scene where we went to a breaks night and we only heard breaks DJs, you know?

So, you know, it's, it's different, but I think it's definitely more artist driven now.

And I don't think, I don't think anyone could blow up necessarily by just being a DJ anymore.
