Ever hop into an Uber or Lyft and wonder if the driver is actually the person in the app?

On Facebook Marketplace, people are openly buying and renting Uber and Lyft accounts.
That means the driver who shows up might not be the guy or gal you see in the app.
Before you slide into the backseat of any ride share, do three things.
Uber and Lyft both let you send your route to someone you trust.
They can watch your ride in real time.
Next, once you're moving, open your map app.
Make sure the driver's actually heading where you're supposed to go.
Finally, this one's for the ladies.
Uber now offers women-only drivers matching nationwide.
So request a woman driver.
And if a guy shows up, you better cancel it.
