Chapter 1: How can you ensure your Uber driver is who they claim to be?
Ever hop into an Uber or Lyft and wonder if the driver is actually the person in the app? That little voice in your head, it might be right. On Facebook Marketplace, people are openly buying and renting Uber and Lyft accounts. That means the driver who shows up might not be the guy or gal you see in the app. Before you slide into the backseat of any ride share, do three things.
Chapter 2: What alarming trend is happening with Uber accounts on Facebook Marketplace?
First, share your trip. Uber and Lyft both let you send your route to someone you trust. They can watch your ride in real time. Use it every single trip. Next, once you're moving, open your map app. Make sure the driver's actually heading where you're supposed to go. No mystery detours. Finally, this one's for the ladies. Uber now offers women-only drivers matching nationwide.
So request a woman driver. And if a guy shows up, you better cancel it. Sign up for my free newsletter at GetKim.com.
Chapter 3: What are the three essential safety tips before getting into an Uber?
Next up, a call from my weekend show, The Kim Commando Show. Enjoy. The other day, I had a chance to sit down with Craig Dubinsky, the CEO of Happy Products. He's built some of the biggest brands in personal care.
Chapter 4: How can sharing your trip enhance your safety during rides?
So when a guy like that tells me a piece of software saved his company, I listen. Here's what he told me. So you mentioned that NetSuite saved your bacon. What happened there?
Well, our last business, Hello, which was, it's an oral care company. Hello grew and became the fastest selling, fastest growing oral care brand in North America. We were growing so fast that we literally broke another well-known financial platform software. So we made the switch.
Chapter 5: What should you check on your map app during the ride?
to NetSuite and we migrated our entire business off of one platform onto NetSuite, which was very scary. And we thought this is going to be this impossible task. And we did it over a weekend and it was flawless and seamless. And we never looked back. It's the most capable platform we've seen. It's great.

uh pastor jennifer in fort lauderdale florida welcome aboard what's going on hey good good how are you thanks for having me on you betcha so tell us what's going on oh there's a lot going on we've got ai scammers a new breed of uh you know used to be the orphanage scams and now it's the ai scams and uh there's a lot going on we're busy down here so you were is somebody scamming you impersonating you
Yeah, and it's not really the first time. I'm used to having people take my picture and create a Facebook profile or an Instagram profile and pretend to be me and message people and say, I've got an orphanage. If you send me money, I'll pray for you. I'm used to that, but what happened recently was just so beyond anything I would have imagined that And I guess I was kind of naive.
Here's what happened. Somebody took a video of me from YouTube and it was in my living room. And they took a clip of me actually speaking, but they put it through some kind of AI technology that actually cloned my voice. And so it sounded like me. It looked like me. It wasn't me, but there were some people that actually believed that it was. Uh-huh.
Isn't that horrible? What did they do with the video? Were they asking for donations? Were they trying to get money out of people?
Yeah. The ultimate goal was to get money. So they were promising. Oh, they, the video said, this is Jennifer. You know, I want you to, to, to be happy. And basically this guy, Sergio reached out to me through Facebook and he goes, what are you going to call me? And I'm like, you know, I'm sorry.
What? Why didn't you call Sergio? Why did not you call? Yes, exactly. What is your problem?
I know, and he was insistent. I mean, he was like, you promised. I gave you money. I'm going to call the police. And I'm like, you know, I'm really sorry, but that wasn't me. And then I said, you know what? Send me the video. Because he was insisting that I send him a video. Send me the video. And when he sent it to me, I was like, oh, my gosh. Like, I'm blinking 100 miles an hour.
I'm speaking broken English. But because he was from another country and didn't speak English as a first language, he just fell for it. I felt so bad.

Chapter 7: How can AI scams affect individuals and what should you be aware of?
And I really think that we need to sound the alarm on this because people, you know, people believe the best.
I know. And then, you know, and it's, and they, they look darn good too. I mean, they really do.
You already put on a hold. Cause I know I just had one question for you. When are you going to call me, Jennifer? I mean, I paid good money for that. I got to work for a couple more hours, but then after the show, I better get that call.
Good one. Love that. Yeah, you do have to be careful. You know, can't tell you how many times I'm here. I heard from somebody just the other day. He thought that Jennifer Aniston was sending him videos. And she wasn't? No, apparently she was not looking for an overweight man in Kentucky. She didn't want to be friends. That was it.
