I honestly never wanted to be an entrepreneur.

So both my parents are entrepreneurs.

And I thought, I'm going to get a real job.

And I'm just going to work the corporate ladder.

And I went and I got that.

That was at xDrive.

And we raised $100 million in funding.

It was right at the dot-com boom.

And I was so excited.

I'm like, this is it.

Job security is gonna be amazing.

And then I learned there is no such thing as job security.

And the company spent the $100 million and then I was fired and I had no savings.

I was broke.

I honestly wasn't sure what I was going to do, but I did learn the lesson that

you know, the best bet you can make is to bet on yourself.

And I had this idea for an internet company that wanted to create.

I didn't have any money.

So I had to ask my 82 year old grandma for a loan because everyone else told me, Kim, you're crazy.

The internet's a fad.
