Now, if you've ever played a driving sim, the US Army says you're already halfway to operating its newest tank.

It's rolled out its new Abrams tank prototype at the Detroit Auto Show, designed to mimic gaming platforms.

The tank hadn't been upgraded since the 1970s, but Kia spoke with the U.S.

Army's chief technology officer, Dr. Alexander Miller, who says this new tank now includes high-tech robotics and drone components.

The army says the tank will now undergo safety testing protocol before final production is finalized.
