I spoke with uh one of the RCGP GP registrar co-chairs and she told me that from what she's heard, the job situation for GPs about CCT is pretty similar to the survey results the college released last year.
So basically, people are finding work, but it's not enough.
Essentially, there is a lot of underemployment.
Yeah, I mean it's definitely a a new issue that I've come across.
So we know that due to a lack of funding, a lot of practices can't offer full-time work like they once used to.
So the college told me that many registrars that are about to qualify and have been offered work, either short-term or part-time, have also been added to practice waiting lists to pick up more sessions.

The college said that this is actually happening frequently.
They did, but only a little bit better.
You know, it's a varied picture for sure.
So GP trainers from Manchester, Leeds, and Liverpool told me that there are now more jobs available in their areas this year in comparison to the same time last year.
However, in Manchester and Liverpool, the jobs aren't necessarily full-time work.
