From the outside, it looks like devotion.

But from the inside of that marriage, Jade was so lonely.

She felt unseen.

She felt like she was begging for attention of this man who was always somewhere else.

And now we know where he was.

She went to a doctor about all this, about the way she was feeling, and she was put on antidepressants.

She tried to come off of them, and then just days before her murder, she asked to go back on them.

I just felt so bad hearing that.

Because in her journal, in her own words, she wrote about how she felt and the pain of it all.

She wrote about wanting to be loved fully and completely, about wanting to be the person her husband couldn't take his eyes off of,

And the feeling like she never was.

She wrote about not understanding why he hid so much from her.

Why he wouldn't talk to her.

Why the life she was living was the exact life she had promised herself she would never end up in.

How she didn't know how much more she could take.

Not because she suspected him of anything.

Just because she was lonely and confused and trying to hold on to a marriage that the man on the other side of it had already decided to end.

In the worst way, a person can end a marriage without her having any clue what was coming.

And sometimes I just wish these men would leave.

Just leave.
