But what makes it hurt?
is that it's the list of things that someone assumed they had time to complete.
Someone in the middle of their life planning more of it and she didn't get to.
So you know what happened?
Other people did it for her.
After she died, strangers who never even met her heard about her story from the news and saw her smiling photo
And they started to complete those items on her bucket list in her honor, running on the beach, watching the sunrise, doing the things that she wanted so badly to do, but she couldn't.
And because it was a way of keeping her alive, keeping her in the world.
So I encourage you to do them too for yourself, but also because Jade never got that chance.
And there's one more moment from those years I think is worth telling you about.
Because of how strange and human it actually is, on what would have been Jade's 31st birthday, Chris's mistress's best friend, so Chanel's best friend that I talked about earlier, Clariska,
she posted to Jade's Justice for Jade's Facebook page, the community page where people had gathered to support Jade's family.
She testified at the trial about the affair, about the gifts that Chris had given both of them.
