She graduated in the year 2000, and people who knew her described her as energetic, driven, and confident in herself, like someone who knew what they wanted in life and where they were going, even when the specifics were still trying to be figured out.
There was a clarity to her and a sense of direction that most people spend their lives
trying to figure out.
Amber seemed to just be born with it already installed.
And after high school, Amber went to work.
She found a way into the retail industry, specifically video game industry, and it turned out to be a very good fit.
And it went well beyond the paycheck alone because video games weren't just the product she was selling.
They were something she actually loved.
She played them on her own time.
She talked about them because she cared about them.
And she brought that genuine enthusiasm into the store with her every day.
