deep dives hi everyone welcome back to my channel my name is kimberlea if you've never been here before nice to finally meet you the very first person i want to introduce you to is brooke elizabeth baker brooke was born april 24th 1978 to her father maurice and her mother janet baker
Just a year later, her little brother Bron came into this world.
Brooke grew up in a very loving family.
And with a brother that was like her twin, they were so very close.
And even though neither her mom or her dad went to college, Brooke just had an innate passion for learning.
And she dreamed of getting out of her little town of incense, Indiana.
It's a very small town right across the river, neighboring Illinois.
And it's a rural area.
It's one of the oldest communities in the state of Indiana.
The first Christian churches were founded in this area and people who either come from it or live there do have those Christian religious values.
And it was no different for the Baker family.
They regularly attended church and they believed in God.
The town of Vincennes only has about 18,000 residents.
But something you don't usually hear in these type of stories is instead of it being this safe little town where no one expected there to be murder, that wasn't the case in Vincennes.
Actually, there was sort of a dark cloud over Knox County.
It was a place where a number of murders had gone unsolved.
And there was a saying, if you want to murder somebody and get away with it, do it in Knox County.
How can it be in a small town where everyone knows one another and they're so friendly, even to a stranger, someone new comes to town, they're ready to lend a hand.
