I love preparing all the things for when my daughter was going to come into this world, dedicating that space to her, knowing that one day I was going to be placing her in her cradle or rocking her back and forth in a rocking chair.
And it's just this really magical time.
And that's what I visualized
and imagined it would have been like for Missy.
I think of her anticipating Kyle coming into this world.
It's the best of both of them.
It's the best of Missy and Michael creating a life out of love, but none of this is going to happen because unfortunately all of those dreams and everything that they're excited for is going to come to a halt.
All of it is going to be taken away and for the most senseless reasons.
If you can even call it a reason at all and you're going to say why again and again and again.
But you will find out why and it's not going to make any difference.
I want to jump to that fateful evening on Wednesday, August 21st.
It was a normal day that evening.
The couple had gone to a child birthing class, a Lamaze class together, which ended at 9 PM.
Michael was helping Missy get prepared for when the baby was going to come.
And at this point, Missy is actually eight months pregnant.
So they really were about to experience Kyle coming into this world and they were excited for him to be born.
But that night in particular,
there was a violent tropical storm.
And if you've never heard of a tropical storm, I'm sure you have.
It's not a hurricane.
