When Pollard took over in 2019, yeah, it was specifically stated it was a four-year period, so he was going to take them to the cycle ending with the 2023 ODI World Cup.

But when we got to the beginning of 2022, he threw in the towel, essentially, because...

he didn't get to that four-year cycle.

I don't know.

Obviously, with Pollard, it was slightly due to age and declining form in that.

But also, being a captain and being in the West Indies side, continually struggling, especially what happened in the 2021 World Cup, when the Vets all got rounded up and stuff.

Pollard threw in a towel.

So, even with Pollard, to an extent, as much as the goodwill was there,

it took a toll on him and he cut out halfway into his planned tenure.
