It's like it's all stereotypes, right?

The fact of the matter is England pay whatever, 1.2 million a year for their players.

You still got a man like Jacob Bethel out here playing the IPO instead of playing the test year because the money is there, right?

The money is the money, right?

So I don't think there's anything to do, even if Cricket West Indies up their salary, the money on offering franchise cricket.

And when you're a player, I know people say how much money is enough money?

Surely there's enough.

When you're a player, you're conditioned almost to think, my career is short, I need to stack as much as I can.

So there's never going to be an end point, right?

You make a million in a year, one year.

you might be happy with that.

Next year, you're making 2 million.

And then you're suddenly thinking, hold on, I might as well be making 3 million next year.

You're always thinking of the next step.

So I think it's got nothing to do with cricket.

I'm sure, like we said, there could have been political reasons or backstage reasons, which we're not privy to, so we can't speculate.

But in terms of actual financially, there's not much more cricket West Indies could do.

Unless you're suddenly finding a treasure trove and paying them 2 million a year, it could...
