I get all that.

I agree.

It's just the way it is.

But it felt accusatory, like you're accusing the base of not caring, but the base cares too much.

That's the problem.

The base cares so much, they are defeated.

And the Republican Party in California is not giving the base a reason to go out there and to feel confident that their votes will count, that they're fighting for our votes out there.

We don't feel it.

Carl, before we have to go, I want to tell people another reason why voter ID is going to make such a big difference, as you said, from the top of the ticket all the way down to dog catcher.

Here's one interesting thing that they're trying to get over us on us in the assembly right now.

A mileage tax.

So, yes, it's what it sounds like, folks.

Getting taxed for every mile you drive in California.

Now, please understand that everybody drives in California.

This is not a walkable state anywhere.

Maybe in San Francisco, there's places you can walk, but mostly people drive.
