Here's the pressure.

Yeah, and I did my homework for this assignment, and I said, you know, there's five types of pressure, Zach Lowe, that we're going to talk about.

There's contract pressure, living up to big numbers.

There's legacy pressure, living up to career expectations.

There's health pressure, which I'll come back to.

And then there's like this foundational pressure when you're the center of an organization.

Then there's market pressure.

I think Minnesota is a market that expects to win.

But the biggest thing we haven't talked about with LaMelo is health pressure.

And I'm sure you've talked to people around Charlotte since their season where when they talk about this move, they are unfortunately really skeptical that LaMelo's ankle,

and lower body can live up to the grind that the modern NBA puts on these guys.

He only played 28 minutes per game last year, and that was no accident, Zach Lowe.

That's a number that I think Minnesota fans have to ingest and understand why

they were doing that.

And it's also a big reason why they were willing to get off of what some people consider to be their franchise player in this transaction.

So can he withstand the health pressure?

Are his ankles going to hang on to defend Shea and the Spurs dudes?

Or is he going to be on the injured list a lot?
