That was early December and then uh you know they added some really good older nineteen year old depth players and then they made the big splash near the deadline getting Sawyer Minio.
That was also on Team Canada.
So two Team Canada defensemen for Calgary.
Lethbridge hurricanes.
Who do they add?
The big ad for them was uh obviously Caden Price and then Brayden Jagger.
That one was before the World Juniors.
So two pretty big odds there, nineteen year old guys and um and a couple more depth guys as well.
Yeah, you know, I think it's one of th there are so many variables this year with the where we are where we are where we're at as an organization right now.
You know, coming off two years where it's been um you know, the focus has been on rebuilding this this team, you know, when we we went all in and COVID kind of delayed that and we had to go a little bit deeper probably than we wanted to with what we had you know, year we had one returning top four defenseman coming into that year when we won it w went to the Memorial Cup.
So we had to go out and get three defenseman.
defenseman that year and um and then we got sort of at the deadline to try to put the team over the top.
I you know, I thought that w th I was hoping that was the piece if we got to the Memorial Cup, you know, I thought we needed one more guy.
I think we still could have won the league maybe, but I was like, I think we need one more thing here to try to win the cup and then but then Gunther gets hurt and that uh changes that plan a little bit there.
