If I did, I wouldn't tell you.

Um not even not even my closest friends, not here, not maybe in the pub.

But um you know that was an ambition of mine, you know, to be a writer, to be actor, to just do everything.

And uh and so the one of the m major reasons I wrote this book is because having been embedded in technology for over forty years as a professional.

You know, I've been at the forefront of discussions about

the world that we now live in, you know, is something that I could see coming.

And, you know, I've been working in um marketing technology for a long time.

So how data gets used, how how it gets abused.

um and the guardrails that may or may not be there as we move forward were the things that were on my mind as I went into COVID, as I became a mother, as I progressed through my career and it it the magic wore off a bit and it started to feel threatening both to

quality of life, you know, existence as we know it, um, the planet, the politics and society.

And so the it was the other thing.

It was it was I wanted to write the story where I re reinduced reintroduced the humanity.

And and I write because I have a question in my mind that I want to solve and uh and it's the best way I can find of working it through in my mind.

And the question I had when I was writing it is do I really want to be part of this world anymore?

I'm have I lost have I lost the ex is it lost the excitement?

Is it lost the sheen?

You know, this thing that excited me and and felt like magic when I was a teenager now feels like I'm on the bad side.

How do I feel about that?

And so writing the story became an um a treatise in that and I I came out of it with hope rather than despair.
