Yeah look, he's been unbelievable for me.
Having him and Hitman Giorno at home is something very special.
It's very easy to be up and about when you're winning, but they've been there for me on the dark days too.
The loss to Roscommon was probably the biggest one.
To do that, that was my first Connacht Championship game.
To have a beating like that in your home crowd, we understand that male people wouldn't like that.
That's not what we're about.
They've been there before, sadly, too, so they helped me out with that.
Yeah, look, it's crazy to be honest.
I'm just so happy that I'm able to bring back a Sam Maguire medal to our house because I think he deserves one in his house for what he's done for Mayo and what he's done for himself.
So it's very special for me to be able to do that.
That doesn't surprise me now.
He was the first man down the road there to cross the line this morning, so I was already off the chat.
Yeah, absolutely.
Like if I was to leave, if yesterday didn't go our way and I was to leave, I know there's an all-Ireland in this team and obviously it would have been tough to go.
But now having one in the back pocket going makes that a lot easier and as you said, there's no what-ifs, there's no wondering.
We've done it now and yeah, I'm going to enjoy it, that's for sure.
