You're playing to evaluate players.
Uh so a lot of players, um
you know, your regular lineup, you don't have your same flow, the same line combinations.
And the guys who aren't gonna be on your team are playing many more minutes than they would, um, and ultimately they're not even making your team.
But on the uh flip side of it is um yes, it wasn't our best.
We weren't focused, we weren't um but that is as expected.
Um and I felt that even for myself when I got behind the bench, my first exhibition game just at the level intensity um was quite a drop off from um Game Seven Stanley Cup Final Two exhibition.
And I can only imagine for the players.
They're the ones out there on the ice competing.
They're the ones with the commitment on and um I'm just in a suit behind the bench.
So it's um yeah, uh everyone knows how important it is.
Uh the
regular season is and having a good start and putting yourself in a good position to
Uh for the playoffs.
And um yeah, we are
cognizant of it wasn't our best, but we have to pick it up.
Well, I I think they're just feeling it out and getting used to each other.
Um, you know, I think there there's some nice good plays, but I think probably a lot of it was trying to overdo it and to make it an extra pass that wasn't there and that's you know, they're trying to build chemistry and you know, that extra pass shows me that they're kinda overdoing it on trying to build that chemistry rather than just playing their game, letting it flow.
And you know, that takes time.
