from the police department and and to remove a hundred and four employees from the from from the Austin police.

I don't see the benefit in that.

I don't see as I'm looking at fifteen seconds above the national average to answer a call to get that where that needs to go.

Any changes, any gaps that we see, I am in the best place to make those changes.

think it does add a layer, right, of uh uh uh to the um ACM's point of bureaucracy.

When you're adding another director, you're adding someone else in charge of that.

When there are problems, when there are concerns, instead of me being able to immediately make those changes, I then have to have this other layer of this other person coming in and and let's meeting about this, let's get the data, all of that.

So I think when you're looking at

Looking at that continuous improvement, ensuring that those calls are answered and all the changes if we need to make these changes that they're able to happen and that process is seamless.

Okay.

Well, I think you have to look at the crime that is being committed in there.

So if it's an area that has more crime, you're going to have more calls for service, which means more officers are going to be responding to those different calls for service.

Um in other areas and certainly geographic locations matter as well.

How long does it take to get from you know, if I know in um you know Crystal Lane where our um sub is, it takes, you know, a half hour from where the sub is to to get to the highest point of where um that

location is and so you've got drive times, things like that for certainly at the beginning of a shift.

Um so those things, you know, come into play as well.

But certainly the amount of crime, the calls for service, that volume, how many officers we have working, we know we're working in a deficit right now.

So all of those things come into play for where the police is concerned.
