Because if we stop doing that, then we're just polemicists.
We're writing tracts.
Well, and especially the where we're going to go next.
So, you know, we can speculate, we can hope, we can fear.
But at the end of the day, we only actually have our past as guide.
And so, yeah, we just kind of cross fingers and through stories and through education of what actually happened, perhaps bring some clarity on the present.
But forward is the gamble, right?
We can get a whole lot worse before we get better, but we hope we won't.
I was knee deep in writing a whole nother book, which I'm now going to return to, which is on the move bombing in 1985 in Philadelphia, where Philadelphia police dropped a bomb on a.
an urban Black neighborhood in Philadelphia where a Black radical group resided and took out, incinerated two full city blocks of that city.
And it was one of these also dramatic moments that is told very, very differently depending on who you were and what you thought about it.
It's about the police.
It's about the city.
It's about race again.
So that's where we're going next.
Yeah.
And this story, I think you'll see, is really ground zero of so much of why that was.
And also it has scarred the city to this day.
So, so guess, guess, yeah, that's, we kind of dropped that thread.
Guess, guess is something that I remembered at the time.
