Yeah, and I actually became a mother over the course of covering this case.

So back when I was there reporting on the breaking news at the crime scene when these deaths happened back in twenty twenty three.

Um, you know, for me I was just newly married.

I didn't have kids.

I was just there as a part of my job.

But it was one of the most heartbreaking crime scenes I've ever been at.

I've never seen police officers so emotional.

at a crime scene the way I did that night, you knew something really serious had happened just because of the looks on first responders' faces.

And then over the course, um uh over the course of time, you know, pretrial hearings, I became a mother myself.

I have a one-year-old at home now, and it didn't change the way I cover this case at all.
