very frightening and I didn't know am I going to the right place and am I asking the right questions and it's also embarrassment I'm I'm 40 years old and I don't know how to do the things that people are doing now most people aren't talking to people anymore they go through a self-checkout or they do things on an app I had no clue what an app was
And I'd never had a card, a credit card or a debit card.
I barely had a checkbook.
So the fact that people don't carry cash anymore, everything's on a card or your PayPal, it took a lot to get used to.

Most people don't realize when you come home, if it's been over a certain amount of time, you don't get your driver's license right away.
So I had to have a learner's permit.
I wanted a job immediately.
So I found a gas station that I could walk to.
And I started working there.
It was just supposed to be part-time work until I got my license.
I think I worked two weeks and they offered me a position as an assistant manager.
