That concerns me and everybody is saying no taxes, but yet we want the services that's needed and wanted by this community.
What is our baseline of growth and where are the greatest facilities today?
And what are those needs in those facilities where the greatest number of people go?
Is it for exercise?
Is it for medical care?
what are they seeking in the processes coming to those sites?
Because when I hear about Ellis Scarborough facility, it's about recreation and Park and Rec provides that.
So it worries me to see these numbers and leasing and costs for the community to pay for, but yet the services are there.
If there's some way that this community can get around
reestablishing health sites that's greater than what we have or enlarge those that we do have where the growth is greater and the needs are greater because all areas of Mecklenburg County does not need the same type of services that we're trying to offer.
So can we get that Mr. Chairman?
My other thing is it took time to do all of this.
And for us to sit here today, to come up with a recommended plan is unfair.
We need to study this, to talk about it, talk about where the money's coming from, who's going to pay for it, how we're going to pay for it and what is actually needed.
Nobody has talked about the needs.
And it grieves me when I think about my seniors.
and many of them are struggling as it is, and many people are.
Like you said about land, where's the land to even build if we want to build?
Because we're building housing today different from what we did 10 years ago.
But I guess with the new man, things might change for the better.
