And our children are absolutely adamant that no, I cannot survive in the school environment for a number of reasons because

begins with the foundation of autism.

Now autism alone means that we're often bombarded on a sensory level by our environments.

So we have that as a baseline.

We're dealing with that already.

But school is

assess all of demands.

I mean

one instruction after another from the time you get there till the time you get home.

Now for a demand avoidant child to survive that environment

By the time they get home at the end of the day, you could just imagine

The levels of exhaustion

And

The way that that may be expressed in behaviour.
