She said, Susie, thank you for empowering myself and so many women to be financially independent.
And then she wrote, especially when we watched our mothers be totally dependent when it came to finances.
So she said, I work for a very small business.
My boss offers 3% contribution match and has set up a target date traditional IRA.
I really do not want to put my money in a target date fund, but I know that one should never say no to free money.
Is the free money really worth it when we're looking at $15 a month on average?
I'm contributing around $500 a month to my retirement.
Should I continue with my employer's plan or should I opt out and start putting the 15% of my paycheck into a Roth IRA that I already have set up, even though I will not be getting the 3% match if I go this route?
