Kurt Cignetti

Kurt Cignetti completed one of the all-time great turnarounds Monday night, leading Indiana to its first college football national championship.

The Hoosiers beat Miami 27-21 with Heisman Trophy winning quarterback Fernando Mendoza scoring on a fourth and five in the fourth quarter to give Indiana some breathing room.

When Cignetti took over the Indiana program two years ago, the school had never seen a 10-win season.
