And I was like, fuck, well, there's only one logical choice, and it was to move down there.

My sister was already down there helping with her.

So I went down there, and it was every day we'd be –

i'd be down there i'd be getting better and i was watching her get worse and i was you know you got a lot of time to think when you can't do anything yeah um and you know you reflect a little bit on that was what 26 27 at the time and um just reflecting on everything that i had done up until that point and

Man, you know, like I'd had lots of fun and, um, you know, the rugby, the building, the partying, all that stuff, you know, I felt like I'd already lived the life before at the age of like 27 or whatever.

And then.

yeah every day i was getting better and she was getting worse and we would um drive over to thames for chemo and um right we're singing songs and doing all the stuff and coming home in tears and you know and it was like when she passed so she passed away um in april and i was still couldn't play footy or anything like that um and i was like bro this is

That was a turning, that was the turning point.

Um, um, when something's taken away from you that you love, I suppose, all you want to do or you'd give us anything to get that back.

And I felt like it wasn't right the way that I was going.

would um I just wanted to make her proud bro yeah okay you know um and so it was around that time where I got uh Clayton McMillan's number um it was probably a few weeks before mum's mum passed actually and um went up to his office on my crutches and
