Well, I mean, look at what happened with the Memorandum of Understanding, Misty, where there's this 14-point MOU.
And the same thing happened in April when they agreed to the initial ceasefire, where the ceasefire, the Memorandum of Understanding, it's supposed to be a framework for a peace deal that certain base core issues are dealt with in the Memorandum of Understanding.
And the actual peace negotiations are supposed to be just hammering out the small details.
Right.
that's how iran looked at it that's why iran agreed to the ceasefire that's why iran agreed to reopen the strait of hormuz what washington saw with the memorandum of understanding is basically just an agreement to get a ceasefire and then trump is not going to negotiate on whatever terms he wants to anyways and so it's really the americans that are agreeing to something and then not following through with their commitments
The one other interesting thing I thought about that statement, Misty, is it seems to be Donald Trump flailing around.
I think if there was a military solution to this, he wouldn't be calling the Iranians scum.
He would be letting the US military do the talking.
I think this rhetoric is him trying to mask to the American people that he's been emasculated by the Iranians.

But, you know, after 12 weeks of intensive fighting, what we found out is that while the Iranians used 50% of their drones, 50% drones and only 30% of their missiles, the U.S.
used 50% of their missiles and 50% of their interceptors.
The math simply doesn't work out to return to conflict, especially when Iran, even after the U.S.
bombing campaign, is producing missiles faster than the U.S.
can produce interceptors.
And so there is no military solution here.
So he has to say all this rhetoric that sounds like he's going to be really tough on the Iranians, but then he also weaves in there, the negotiators want to keep negotiating and I'm going to let them do it.
