I believe that we should have housing first policy in this country.

But if there's one thing that physically compelled me to run in this race is I was sitting up in the upper peninsula halfway between some of it and the rest of it.

And I was watching on my phone as my tax dollars murdered children that looked like my children.

And that's not,

That's not something I say lightly.

I quite literally with a tired mind one night looked at my phone and in an instant that will last the rest of my life, I saw my own son's face on a child in Gaza.

And by an accident of their birth, that child was dead and my child was sleeping soundly in the next room.

And I found it.

impossible to believe that on either side of the aisle, that there was a consensus that we should continue to fund that right-wing Israeli government during a time when they're committing those sorts of atrocities in the name of the beautiful Jewish people.

This idea that we can't separate, that we can't detach the Israeli government from the Jewish people writ large is bizarre, and I reject it wholeheartedly.
