When I go into those interviews, I don't have a piece of paper in front of me because I like to be there and present with the person I'm talking to. matched

And she finished whatever answer she had given to the question, and my mind just went blank. matched

And so I looked at her and I said, do you think Donald Trump understands economic policy? matched

And she looked at me and said, no, I don't. matched

And I was like, oh my God. matched

It came from me just not knowing what else to do. matched

So I just came up with something. matched

But it happens to everybody, you know? matched

Well, so that's two different things, right? matched

The issue of communication and fakes and all of those things is deeply troubling, not just on a journalistic level, but on a societal level, right? matched

On a trust and on a mutual adherence to norms basis. matched

I think that's really, really challenging. matched

Journalism can be really, really helped by artificial intelligence, analysis, trend spotting, all of those things. matched
