Like learning how to win in college and get drafted.
You make the playoffs your first year, win a World Series your second year, made the playoffs pretty much every year except one.
That's why I play.
Being able to have that World Series in Chicago and to see the pandemonium, the madness, the parade, everything...
it gives you goosebumps, and that's what drives you.
Even those losses in the playoffs, it doesn't matter what year it is, it hurts just as much as the year before, and that's what keeps driving you to get back to those situations and to get back to those spots and to try to see if something changes.
The next thing you know, you're finding yourself in a position to hold up a trophy again.
That's a good stat.

It's like, you know, that's – I always say postseason baseball is like the most purest form of baseball because –
no one really gives are we allowed to cuss yeah fuck you want okay perfect no one really gives a shit about if you're hitting 400 or if you're hitting nothing right it's about did you win the game at the end of the day right and um you know you play a course of 162 games throughout the year to put yourself in that position and uh
you know, it's not like we're collecting the paycheck in the post season, right?
You're playing for something bigger than that.
