Yeah, I think, you know, sometimes velocity can be deceptive for some guys.
Him, obviously not, because what makes Miz, you know, Mizorowski extra special is the extension.
So where he's releasing, you know, the ball from.
So I think he's, you know, over seven feet of extension.
So, you know, the mound's 60 feet.
So he's releasing the ball even closer to you than other guys.
And so...
You put that extension of release with the 100-plus miles per hour.
It's a real fastball.
It's different.
It just feels like you have to swing before he releases the pitch.
I always joke around when we're facing a guy with good velocity that I want to get my foot down the day before the game.
Yeah, so it happened to me in 2023 when I was in AAA, and it was extremely challenging.
It happened against a left-handed pitcher, and so I think that for the rest of the season, I came back with about two weeks left.
The rest of the season against left-handed pitchers, I was kind of one foot out of the box.
I was definitely stepping away from the pitcher, and it was quite a humbling feeling, actually, to be scared in the batter's box for the first time in my life.
I think what was key for me was just getting back out there as soon as I could.
Rather than waiting and letting the fear build, I tried to get back on the horse as quick as I could and then just got comfortable.
Each time I got a little bit better.
