Well, I have 12 other guys besides myself working across North America and Europe.
I've got eight others in North America, four in Europe.
You know, we treat ourselves as the 33rd NHL team.
We don't really care.
Like, for instance, with a kid like Nordmark, I knew he wasn't going to go in the top 10.
But we don't let that color our judgment on players.
So we'd rank them where we would have them.
We set up our own board.
Even if we know that the player isn't going to get drafted that high or he's going to get drafted too low, it doesn't matter to us.
The true worth of an independent scouting service that not a lot of people really understand, the reason NHL teams take it is because you get
12, 13 scouts around in a room in the NHL and there tends to be a lot of group think, what they want from us is a truly independent view of players.
And then they can look at our rankings each month and say, well, you know, Redline has them here.
What are we missing on this player?
We don't have them.
We have them at 53 and Redline has them up in the 20s.
What are we missing here?
We've got to go back and take a little closer look, see if there's something we missed or if we still think our own internal observations are correct.
That's really what an independent scouting service is supposed to be doing.
In a typical year, it's generally speaking around 175, 180, somewhere in that regard.
