Before I introduce today's guest, the real ones know we like to have fun on here, but I've always tried to make sure that with this podcast, we talk about things that are meaningful.

One way I like to do that is by creating a safe space, particularly for women, even more particularly for women in sports.

So I'm very honored that our guest today, Meredith Goudreau, wanted to share her story with me.

I think that it is so important to not only talk about grief, but to have an opportunity to have Meredith talk about the love of her life and their life together.

And hopefully that helps other people processing.

I know that that is one of the reasons that Meredith speaks up about her grief now.

This is Meredith opening up about the unimaginable tragedy she and her family faced in losing her husband, Johnny, and her brother-in-law, Matthew, in August of 2024.

And she's now continuing his legacy, most recently with their children alongside our gold medal winning men's hockey team at the Olympics.
