And I thought, they came for me, man.
It was all Americans as well, you know.
And the reality is, is that when I thought about it, I was like, I can deal with that.
Like if the conversations change and if we now have to be aware and say these sorts of things, I'm not afraid of saying, you know, it was made by the black community.
This is the black community's like gift to society.
I just didn't come from that background to know that that was how you should have been saying it.
And it was bounced off of other things that other hip hop people had said that was sort of like cancelable at the time also.
I'm not afraid of conversations where people try to hit me up and, you know, I'm not afraid of saying, oh, if times have changed, then yes, that was my bad.
Let me, I'll learn and I'll do it differently in the future because actually you're right.
That is an important thing to say.
And if we lead by that understanding of being like, we must say it differently now, I'm down.
And that's basically what I said.
And, you know, I got a lot of flak for that as well.
