And the thing that I really didn't understand was why a Pacific Island, I think his Samoan brother was trying to take me down and make me out to be like the highlighted hip-hop hater or black community hater or something like that.

He's still based over in LA, I think.

Nah, nah, I've never spoken to him.

I find out in the end it's all over the fact that this guy, this island brother over in the States, he actually was involved with the making of the production unbeknownst to me.

You know, so I didn't know anything about this and it was between him and the director and that he had wanted at the end a bigger credit than he got.

So you're going to throw your community, people out here that are genuinely just trying to honestly like survive, thrive and survive for the sake of like your ego being hurt because you didn't get some credit, like nothing even to do with me.

Yeah, I mean, it's interesting because earlier we were kind of talking about powers that be trying to control the narrative of community workers, you know, because they give them vans or they might give them like โ€“

So then they're going to feel like they have this control over what they might say or represent.

And you were talking about, you know, standing up against that, being like, well, yes, thank you for giving me so much, you know, this for that.

But that doesn't mean that you have any power over what I have to say.

And my parents are both social workers, youth workers, background in Christchurch, prolific down there.
